DSP Manager

music production knowledge

DSP Manager is a loudspeaker management system plug-in designed and created by Digital Brain Instruments. It is a 64-bit standalone plug-in that manages loudspeaker systems for live events. It also gives you the ability to manage complex systems either in a 2-way or 3-way configuration using your computer. The DSP Manager thrives in live events with loudspeaker systems, as it manages the routing of different audio sources to different spaces.

The plug-in allows you to manage robust and complex loudspeaker systems from your computer. It uses a soundcard, MIDI controllers, and VST aux plug-ins instead of a physical DSP hardware unit. The unit can handle 4 stereo input channels of up to -20dB. Forget about clipping and distortion because the soundcard inputs are passed through its built-in brick-wall limiter. Its processing modes cover a 2-way crossover, a 3-way crossover, and a Matrix 3rd order Butterworth crossover filters.

The DSP Manager features 4 stereo audio output channels. Each channel includes a build-in brick-wall limiter that avoids clipping and distortion. Each of the output channels features a 5-band parametric EQ, HPF, LPF, delay compensation and 4 VST UA plug-in sections. Depending on your soundcard, you can record WAV or AIFF files up to 192kHz at 32 bits. Its loaded preset manager can store and retrieve the entire session data. This way, you won’t ever lose what you were working on. You can control the DSP Manager plug-in through your MIDI device. Coupled with several keyboard shortcuts, it will make your life easier and your workflow faster.

To use the plug-in you will need a Mac with OSX 10.7 or later with a minimum of 2GB of Ram. For Windows computers, you will need Windows 7 or later with the same characteristics.
