Chor’X

music production knowledge

Chor’X by XILS Lab is a chorus effects plug-in that combines 4 types of vintage chorus effects in one single unit. The unit is an emulation that has been based con a bucket bridge delay or BBD with a posh true stereo dynamics EQ. With this plug-in, you will be able to add space, depth and other great dimension features to your instruments and mixes. The modern Legacy/Advanced feature permits a quick workflow to select and tweak your prefered chorus model. Don’t treat it only as a standard and commercial chorus algorithm. Keep the Legacy view, select your particular model, and that would be all.

Just add a bit of space by moving the outputs within the Stereo field. If you need more, and you would like to change a bit the LFO rate or Amount of your chorus model, just tap on the Advanced button and alter the Chorus parameter as you did with the past Chor’X form.

The Four Chor’X modes have been calmly modelled after closely examining numerous vintage chorus units and disentangling what made them unique. They point to display a few of the foremost popular model structures found in those popular vintage units: 4 BB Delays, 2 BB Delays and 2 BB delays with phase tweaks, with or without inner compander. By combing these distinct chorus types, you’ll make chorusing effects from the most smooth and delicate to totally wild ones.

A few Choruses were popular for the stereo width they could add to instruments. XILS Lab pushed the concept a bit further by offering a True Stereo motor, so merely can position all the signals in a stereo image. True Stereo doesn’t mean a simple panoramic device, with their TSDE you’ll be able to put an instrument before the stereo field or farther back in the mix.
