The MB-7 Mixer by Blue Cat Audio is a multiband mixing console and VST/AU host that works by splitting frequency bands to then let you mix and process them like if they were in individual tracks. Each band gives you controls that can be found on a mixing console, and bypass, quiet or solo each band independently to confine frequencies. If you need to work on it, alter the pickup, the stereos and the position within the stereo field. When controlling the stereo picture, an ace mono switch also lets you check mono compatibility.
The plug-in can moreover work as a multiband VST, VST3 and Sound Unit. You’ll process each band freely along with your favourite VST, VST3 or Sound Unit plug-ins!. This can be up to four plug-ins that can be stacked on each band, pre or post-fader. Latency compensation presets management, undo/redo integration, and individual plug-in bypass is included for ideal operation. The plug-in too proposes special linking and gathering choices thanks to multi-instances innovation. You can interface groups together inside a single instance or between a few occurrences of the plug-in on distinctive tracks. This lets a basic fader control, numerous groups, on as many tracks as you need. This can be especially valuable when altering the placement or the adjustment of a few competing tracks.
And as regular with Blue Cat Sound, the plug-in gives comprehensive visual feedback to let you know what’s precisely going on: for each channel, screen the spectrum, the in/out levels and the frequency response. Thanks to its progressed MIDI and automation input capabilities, when combined with other Blu Cats plug-ins, Blue Cat’s MB-7 Mixer is capable of advanced side-chaining features that truly reveals its potential. The plug-in is ready to be used either on Mac or Windows computers.
